This piece was inspired by the song Love Sex Magic by Ciara and Justin Timberlake. I love the song and thought it would have been awesome if they used the song in The Princess and the Frog, with Ciara as Tiana singing and dancing in a shallow pool of water, much like Gene Kelly in Singing in the Rain and Justin Timberlake as the frog dancing and sing like the old Movie Anchors Away. This is the movie where Gene Kelly dances with Jerry the mouse.
Plus of course Judy Garland's dancing and singing Get Happy in Summer Stock was the main inspiration for Tiana.
Maybe my imagination went too far..... hahaha. I really enjoy mixing the old Hollywood movies with today's MTV and of course Disney, put them in a blender and Voila! I had fun doing the piece.
I really love this work that you did along with your style.
The whole concept of your drawing; how you made Tiana as Ciara with the dancing inspiration of Gene Kelly and the frog as Justin Timberlake which is really cool of how the frog pose.
I love the whole background in this work. The way you draw the water is very soft and beautiful; I like how you create some details with the highlights to bring the lighting into the characters. The splash effect looks very great with the transparent effects brings dimension to the water splash. Also, I like the designs of the background with the color; it really gives a jazzy feel to your work.
I like how you draw the frog; I like how you made the frog dress I feel that it's a classic way to have a frog with a hat and bow. How he pose is awesome with his expression that look like he could say "yeah". Also, the way you use the gradient color for the frog and the tadpole is amazing; I like how you apply some great details and light shading like on his feet, the knees, etc.
How you draw Tiana is amazing I love how you make her in the limelight of the show by the lights hits her to shine; the face anatomy is really good and accurate. I really love her expression on her face, seems that she's enjoying singing and dancing. Also, you really did good with the body anatomy; you did amazing job with her hands, the proportion of her body is accurate as well. However, there is something that can be improve. For example, her kneecaps look a little flat so to improve them is to make the shading a little darker to make the kneecap to show.
All in all, you really did an awesome job in your work, it seems that your improvement shows. Keep up the artiful work.
